About Me

A.M. Pennyfeather is an author, mom, wife, and Montessori teacher living in the United States. Her life revolves around her family, especially her young daughter, but stories about the truest of loves energize her heart. When she’s not making up her own worlds – or enjoying someone else’s – she’s probably spending time with her family, often in the beauty of nature.

What I Do and Why

I write the stories that fill my head. My characters appear to me, and they want their story shared.

I write stories for escape. Bad things happen, but at the end you’ll always find a happily every after, that love wins the day, that friendship is magical, and evil loses. Real life is dark and scary. And we don’t always get a happy ending. So I write stories that let you experience one.

It’s that hope of escape that inspires me to put my ebooks out for as cheap as possible (you might be surprised how difficult it is to publish for free...). But life is especially hard these days, and people don’t have extra money laying around. I never want someone to have to choose between a little mental relief and buying eggs for their child. So, if you want to read one of my books and even the 99¢ makes you clench, reach out to me. I've got the epub, mobi, and PDF files and I'll send it to you for free. No strings attached.

But I write because I love it. I put a lot of effort into my work, but it’s a joy. So I don’t mind giving it away. And if it brings some joy to someone else’s life, it’s totally worth every hour of editing (I hate editing)

AI Policy

No “AI” – large language models or generative AI – are used in the making of my books or images. Everything is written by me, with no input from machines on content. And content that did not originate from my brain was a suggestion from one of my beta readers or writing group friends who are also human. ProWritingAid has been used in the past as a grammar and spelling checker, but no text generated by the program is added to my work.
